Create your Email Account in NexCite
Before you can setup Outlook or Outlook Express to check Email, you need to create your Email account in NexCite.
Choose your Email Program
You can use any standard Email program for checking NexCite Email. The most common are Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express. We provide setup instructions for the following Email programs:
Microsoft Outlook
Outlook Express
Other Programs
If you would like to use another email program, you can get the necessary settings from the Email Configuration Summary.
How do I know which Email Program and Version I am using?
The easiest way to see which Email Program and Version you are using is to open up your email program and click on the Help from the top menu and then click on the About option.
Important Note: More ISP's are requiring their customers to send outgoing email through their servers in an effort to prevent spam. Before you setup your email account in Outlook/Outlook Express, either check your exisiting email account and see if you are using and outgoing server of theirs, contact your ISP directly and ask if you are required to use their outgoing mail servers because they block outbound port 25, or use and search engine and try searching for your ISP's name and port 25 blocking. If you still aren't sure, try using the suggested outgoing mail server settings. |
