Getting your domain name to show your NexCite site

Important!  In order to prevent the loss of email, you must complete the steps in the order outlined below.

If you are not using Email accounts at your domain, then you can skip step 1.

If you are happy with the basic site and do not want to customize it further at this time, then you can skip step 2.

Step 1: Create your Email Accounts. Remember: If you are going to use Outlook/Outlook Express, you will need to setup Outlook/Outlook Express to check this email account.

Step 2: Finish Customizing your NexCite.

Step 3: Update the Name Servers. You will need to know who you purchased your domain name from in order to complete this step. If you don't remember who you purchased your domain name through you can use a tool like Better WhoIs to look it up.

Step 4: Deactivate Previous Website. You should wait until at least 1 week after completing Step 3 Before you deactivate the previous Website just to make sure that you don't lose any email.

Important! Your NexCite subscription does not handle the registration of your domain name. You will still need to renew your domain name registration with the company you purchased it through (Yahoo, GoDaddy, Network Solutions, En Circa - just to name a few).

If you have questions about domain name registration, or don't know who you registered your domain name through, just contact us and we'll help you.
